Scouts BSA Resident Camp - Week 4
Merit Badges
Medical Forms
Forms are required to attend camp, for both scouts and overnight chaperones. Camp Sequassen's website explains this process in detail. Please review and plan ahead to have all forms completed by June 1. Completed forms can be dropped off during one of the upcoming meetings to either Cathy Davis, Bryce Davis, SPM Joel Murphy or SM Pearl.
Please note that digital or stamped signatures from the doctor will not be accepted. Copies of the forms are accepted.
Chaperones
Troop 76 relies on parent volunteers to help supervise scouts during the week. Camp staff run all the activities, but they do not stay with our troop at our campsite, so our adult volunteers help ensure everything runs smoothly and that we maintain the “two-deep leadership” required by Scouting America to keep youth safe. Most of the day is spent in the campsite while scouts attend activities around camp, and volunteers join the troop for meals in the dining hall with the rest of the camp community. Even volunteering for a day or two makes a big difference and helps make the week possible for all of our scouts.
Please look over the volunteer sign-up sheet and see if there's a time that works for you. This year only, we're offering an incentive for chaperones staying two or more nights. A $200 reimbursement will be given after the week of camp is completed.
Note: any parent staying overnight with the troop will need to complete medical forms.

Why join Boy Scouts?
Since 1910, Scouting has helped mold the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes and, through nearly a century of experience, understands that helping youth puts us on a path toward a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
Scouting, with programs for young men and women, helps meet these six essential needs of the young people growing up in our society:
Mentoring
Lifelong Learning
Faith Traditions
Serving Others
Healthy Living
Building Character
